ISPA award winners take the stage at the prize giving ceremony during Paperworld Frankfurt

The ISPA awards took place at Paperworld Frankfurt 2011 with 5 companies receiving prizes for their innovations. ISPA – the International Stationery Press Association - consists of international publishers specialised in the stationery and office products industry. The association is worldwide and 100% independent.

The annual awards are a coveted recognition for new products in the stationery and office products industry. To win one of the awards, each product is judged on innovation, quality, price, presentation and environmental responsibility.

The new Classic 205 DUO piston fountain-pen has the additional function of a text marker. It features a transparent housing in neon-yellow, showing its inner workings. The fountain-pen has a polished stainless steel nib in thickness BB and is filled with a neon ink. The Classic 205 text marker in fountain-pen form comes together with a bottle of neon yellow ink in a simple design box.

The new book cover from Herma offers several enhancements. Its edges are fixed using ultrasound, which avoids the use of glue, and there is no need to use adhesive tape that may damage the book. The book cover is made of recyclable polypropylene that contains no phthalates. It is available in 39 different sizes to fit all types of books and notebooks, including 24 x 32 cm.

The Staedtler digital pen, enables the digital capture of handwritten ideas, personal notes and sketches. These can then be transferred directly to a computer or notebook, for editing or further processing. It comes complete with an external receiver for capturing notes for uploading to a computer or notebook.

Social stationery and Hobby products

Proclima envelopes from Elco are made from used FSC certified paper. They are CO2 neutral as emissions of CO2 are compensated through a partnership with international organisation 'myclimate'. Proclima envelopes come in 7 formats from C6 to C4 and feature adhesive Optifix closing, with or without window. They are manufactured using water-based ink and hydrosoluble glue.

With its new RNX.316 collection, Caran d'Ache creates has created a unique style with an alliance of round and hexagonal shapes. R stands for round, X for hexagonal and N is for And. This new line of 'Swiss Made' writing instruments is made from 316L steel. It comes in two versions, PVD Black and Steel and is available as a fountain pen, rollerball, ballpoint and pencil.
